Shake It Up!

I’m a great believer in incremental change. I really do believe that if we want to achieve extraordinary results in our lives the quickest way to sabotage success is to create unrealistic action steps that will stop our progress stone dead.

We should always set BIG crazy, inspiring goals, but for the most part our action steps need to be really small and easy, but always going in the direction of the goal.

Having said that, there are times when we really do need to shake things up!

It's the start of a new month, and we're in the last quarter of the year, so this is a great time to make big crazy changes in our lives, change the flow completely and dare to live a new and completely different life, even if only for a short time.

90 days is a good time to commit to crazy changes – with a bit of will-power any of us can do something new for a short time, but 90 days is long enough to see some big results of these changes. And in 90 days we will be on the brink of a brand new year!

The changes don’t have to be permanent, in fact many of them can’t be permanent, and that’s what makes them fun!

Here’s some ideas:

For the next 90 days smile at everyone – EVERYONE!! Even the grumpy security guy or the traffic warden who’s just booked you

For the next 90 days go vegetarian or vegan

For the next 90 days give up alcohol

For the next 90 days write your goal list out EVERY day

For the next 90 days write in your gratitude journal EVERY day

For the next 90 days blog or Instagram every day

For the next 90 days don’t watch TV or read a newspaper

For the next 90 days read only positive books

For the next 90 days exercise EVERY day

For the next 90 days don’t eat anything processed

For the next 90 days talk to one new person every day

For the next 90 days get up one hour earlier

For the next 90 days learn a new language

For the next 90 days go to bed one hour earlier

For the next 90 days ban plastic from your life

I’d love to hear any other ideas you have for shaking things up!

You don’t have to do all of them! In fact don't even think about that! Even committing to one change will create amazing results in your life.

And here's the thing... you will probably (OK definitely) slip up some days. A slip up is not an excuse for throwing your toys out the cot and giving up! Smile, forgive yourself and get right back on track immediately.

At the end of 90 days you will be amazed at how your life has transformed and how some of the new activities have become habits.

Have a fun shakin’ it up and let me know how it goes!
